      Another famous dessert of my hometown Xanthi, is the divine Saragli.

It resembles Baklava, only this is made in small rolls. With crispy crust and filled with a mixture of nuts, cinnamon and sugar. Dipped in cinnamon syrup, gives out an irresistible smell. 

My version is made of polymer clay, non-edible miniatures. Made to be worn as jewelry: Necklaces, earrings and a ring.

No molds were used, every miniature is hand sculpted with care and devotion on detail. Sealed with high gloss varnish.

Trigona Panoramatos necklace / Thessalonikis triangles / polymer clay mini food jewelry / sweet treat savory / traditional Greek dessert

Thessaloniki is the “queen” of northern Greece, a beautiful and captivating city.
Its most famous and delicious dessert is Trigona ( triangles in greek), made in Panorama suburb.
It’s a yummy treat made with fine crispy dough sheets, filled with vanilla cream and dipped in syrup. Too divine to eat just one !
The unforgettable taste of Triangles, urged me to make miniatures of them, which can be worn as necklaces, earrings and brooches. No molds were used, every Trigono is hand sculpted with care and devotion on detail. Sealed with high gloss varnish.
Both sides are more or less the same, so it doesn’t matter if it flips around.

This biscuit is definitely one of the Greek’s most favorite biscuit, the Gemista Papadopoulou is now a real-size necklace !
More than two generations have been nourished by these delicious biscuits.
Ideal for breakfast or snack.
Looks delicious, as it’s real size and color but not edible as it’s made of polymer clay. Both sides are identical, so it doesn’t matter if it flips around.

Hanging from a ball chain, and decorated with an organza ribbon bow, pink or yellow, according to the filling.

The Koks are some of the most delicious traditional Greek desserts, amongst hundreds.
Because we, Greeks, sure know how to enjoy food !

Carioca (or Karioka) is one of the most delicious traditional Greek treats.

Mostly produced and favorited in my hometown Xanthi, a small town in the north.

Anyone who has ever eaten the traditional Karioka Xanthi’s dessert will definitely remember it for a lifetime !
It’s taste is just divine and you can’t eat only one !

So, being a native from Xanthi, I couldn’t help but to make a realistic miniature of the Karioka treat as a necklace that wets your appetite !
With chocolate and nuts filling and dark bitter chocolate as a coating.
